Who we are

Teach For Australia is an innovative social enterprise working to confront the significant educational disadvantage which exists in Australia. We do this by transforming outstanding graduates into exceptional teachers and inspirational leaders as Associates of our program.

Our Associates – who we actively recruit from ALL degree backgrounds and career interests - commit to teaching for two years in Australia’s most educationally disadvantaged secondary schools where their energy and passion help to positively impact student achievement and aspiration. The position is fully paid and well supported,

Along the way, our innovative Leadership Development Program prepares Associates for leadership roles within all sectors and industries, education, business, government and social enterprise. Through this transformational experience, they become committed and empowered to creating the types of systemic change that will one day see an Australia where all children have excellent education opportunities.

As well as recruiting for our Associate program, we work with students currently studying at University, to spread the our mission and vision to empower individuals and organisations to creating lasting change,

Our team

Teach For Australia staff come from a wide variety of backgrounds, having previously worked with organisations such as The Boston Consulting Group, KPMG, and Credit Suisse, as well as significant working experience from within the public and education sectors.

We are passionate about engaging young Australians to help confront educational disadvantage. Our experienced staff are experts and accomplished presenters in a variety of areas such as leadership development, recruitment and selection, teaching, and education.
