The Annual Professional Breakfast is JATL’s premier careers event. It gathers students, academics and members of the legal profession together over a gourmet breakfast to discuss developments in the law. It also celebrates the launch of JATL's annual law journal, Pandora's Box. Pursuant to the theme of "Law and Technology", the goal of this year’s edition is to create a platform for innovative thinking on the ways that the law can accommodate constantly evolving technologies. 

Attendees at the breakfast will have the opportunity to meet a number of distinguished legal professionals. The keynote address will be given by the Honourable Dr Annabelle Bennett AO SC, intellectual property specialist and retired Justice of the Federal Court of Australia. Dr Bennett has a PhD in cell biology, was on Gene Patenting Advisory Committee of the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC), and is a past President of Chief Executive Women.
