This event is to mark our 6th year of service; to celebrate our achievements from that day in 2010 (including providing advice to over 500 clients) and to look forward at the achievements we are yet to accomplish.

These are our Pink Champagne Dreams.

The LGBTI Legal Service was officially launched by The Honourable Michael Kirby AC CMG on 1 December 2010. To help us celebrate this event, His Honour will be joining us for the evening to deliver the keynote address. Stephen Page will also be joining us as special guest speaker.

When The Honourable Michael Kirby launched the Service, we had already been assisting clients for six months.

Although there were no clients on the very first night the Service opened, Stephen, one of our founding volunteer solicitors, refused to let this dishearten such a momentous event. Stephen ensured the occasion was a memorable one, by celebrating with a gorgeous pink cake and pink champagne. Stephen recounts this story with delight and awe; when you join us to celebrate we are sure he would be tickled pink to share it with you.
